It was one year ago today that I was diagnosed with the CBitch. Can't think of a better way to acknowledge the occasion than on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer. On day three of the cruise, we visited Coco Cay, Bahamas. This cruising thing is all new to me and I'm not sure it is something I'll be eager to repeat. That said it's been a fun and unique adventure. I've met and hung out with three women I did not knowprior to the cruise. One is the daughter of a good friend of my mom's and the other is the wife of a former ODNR, Div. of Wildlife colleague. Once again God has taken a bad thing - cancer- and turned it into a good, this time through fledgling friendships.
I have no pictures to share today as I can't get my iPod to upload images. Instead, I'll just say the waters surrounding Coco Cay are beautiful shades of turquoise and cobalt blue. The crescent-shaped beach was very peaceful despite the presence of 3,000 Buckeye fans, and the air temp was 50 degrees warmer than Ohio's!
