My Treatment Regimen

For the mildly curious, here is the drug regimen set up for me by Dr. Maryam Lustberg.

I'll have two phases of chemotherapy.
Phase I: Adriamycin and Cytoxan will be administered four times over eight weeks every other Friday. My first treatment was May 18. Each day after a chemo I receive a shot that helps boost my white blood cell count, which is good for the immune system. Last treatment of Phase I is on June 29.

UPDATE: 06/01/2012
Phase II: Taxol, received every other Friday for 8 weeks. This phase begins July 13.


Radiation begins about three weeks after the last chemo treatment. I'll receive radiation every day for 30 days (Mon-Fri).

If I stay on track, all of my treatments should be completed by early to mid October!

UPDATE: 09/11/2012
I begin radiation at the Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center on September 17 and finish October 26. My prediction of all treatment being completed by mid October wasn't too far off! Happy Days:)
